Calocybe ionides (Bull.) Donk Image location: Anchorage, Alaska, USA I found this interesting specimen in a lawn of a house I stayed at in Anchorage. I think it’s a Calocybe because of the crowded white gills and the brightly color cap. Also it reminded me very strongly of collections I’ve made of Calocybe carnea only it was purple. It was also similar to the collection from southern California I identified as <a>Calocybe onychina</a>, but this specimen didn’t have the yellow-ochre gills of C. onychina. Recognized by sight
