Summary
[edit]DescriptionCallander to Strathyre cycle path - geograph.org.uk - 809536.jpg |
English: Callander to Strathyre cycle path The Callander to Strathyre cycle path is approximately nine miles long and skirts the western side of Loch Lubnaig, following the line of the old Callander & Oban railway which was founded in 1865; the line finally reached Oban in 1880. Unfortunately, the publication of the Beeching Report in 1963 sounded the death knell for railway lines such as this. |
