The Gladiolus is invaluable as a summer flower both for the garden and for cutting, and its popularity has increased tremendously in the last few years. New and improved varieties are being offered each year in America as well as in Europe, Australia, etc., and exclusive Gladiolus shows are now staged in all the larger cities throughout the world. Especially in California the Gladiolus has much to endear it to the garden and flower lover. Its ease of culture, beauty and variety of bloom, exceptional keeping quality and its extreme adaptability to our climate which enables it to bloom in our gardens almost twelve months in the year, are qualities unequaled by any other flower. We are large growers of Gladiolus, and Japanese Silk our growing fields at Camarillo, where over a million bulbs are grown annually, are visited by thousands of interested visitors every spring. The bulbs offered below are first size, al grown from young, clean, Semesan treated planting stock and the varieties included in our list are those which by their prominence in National Ex- hibitions and their constant use by florists have proved themselves to be the finest Gladiolus in cultivation. Novelties for 1933 These four new sorts are most unusual and striking in form as well as color. They will appeal to all who delight in the novel as well as the beautiful in flowers.
