Demand for Teachers. Concerning the demand for instructors in the commercialbranches, one of the largest educational publishing houses inthe country wrote as follows : Dear Sirs :—Replying to your esteemed favor of Novem-ber i 1 tli in regard to the demand for normal school graduateswho are competent to teach the commercial branches, will saythat the demand for teachers so qualified has been far beyondthe supply for the last three or four years. * * * * * We ourselves amidfind positions for any reason- able number oj teachers every year. * * * Very truly yours.

AND STATE NORMAL SCHOOL 2$ There are undoubtedly excellent opportunities in this branchof teaching, and students will do well to give the matter seri-ous consideration. A schedule of work will be arranged sothat students taking the regular course may be able to com-plete the special course in the commercial branches during thethree years of their normal course without adding too greatly totheir schedule. Special Students. A one-year course has been arranged for students who candevote their entire time to the commercial studies. This courseis very complete, and should appeal to special students whoexpect to go into office or commercial work. The demand forwell trained office help is great, but the applicant for a posi-tion in a commercial house must be thoroughly prepared. The demand for good stenographers is very great, and thecultured young man who takes such a position has every op-portunity for advancement. He is in close contact with themen at the head of the business houses, and
