AND STATE NORMAL SCHOOL Rules for Final Examinations, Admission to theMiddle and Senior Classes, Etc. (For all the Normal Schools of Pennsylvania.) i. Admission to the Senior and Middle classes is deter-mined by a preliminary examination conducted by the faculty,followed by a final examination by a State Board of Examin-ers. These examinations are held in June each year. Thedate is fixed by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, andis usually announced in February or March preceding the ex-aminations. The results of the preliminary examinations aregiven to the State Examiners, with the recommendation ofsuccessful applicants. 2. In order to be admitted to the Middle class at any StateNormal School, students must be examined by the faculty andState Board in all the Junior studies (except English Gram-mar and Arithmetic,) and this examination shall be final. Persons who desire to be admitted to the Middle class with-out having previously attended a State Normal School, mustpass an exa
