Calendar blotter advertising 'Pepsencia'
Description

Calendar blotter for November and December 1933 issued by Fairchild Brothers and Foster and their UK agents, Burroughs, Wellcome and Co. advertising 'Pepsencia', a "fluid 'pepsin' preparation ... [which] contains the entire soluble constituents, organic and inorganic of the stomach glands, all the various complex catalytic constituents... an entire gastric juice extract" promoted "as a vehicle to promote the toleration of drugs, and as a digestant". This would have been one of a series of blotters sent out to members of the medical profession every 2 months. The blotters have a small line illustration above the calendar grid of something relating to that time of year or something in a themed series. In this case 4 people are skating on a frozen pond watched by a fifth. There are 2 willows on the far bank.
