Description
Español: En 1915 la Compañía Holandesa para Obras en Concreto ganó la licitación para construir ocho pabellones en 45 hás. además de construcciones menores y patios de maniobra. Debido al dispare de los precios de acero por la I Guerra Mundial, no quedó otra que hacer la estructura con hormigón armado2, entre los años 1916 y 1920. En ese tiempo la industrialización del país iba de la mano con el desarrollo ferroviario, por lo que la Maestranza tuvo gran importancia al ser el centro de reparaciones de estos trenes, además de albergar a unos 2.000 trabajadores.
