DescriptionCaert van't Landt van d'Eendracht (NSW balanced).jpg |
This is an image of Hessel Gerritszoon's 1627 map of the north west coast of Australia. The title is "Caert van't Landt van d'Eendracht" which translates as "Chart of the Land of Eendracht". It is so named because that part of the coast was first and foremost charted by Dirk Hartog in the Eendracht in 1616. This is a scan of the copy belonging to the State Library of New South Wales. It has been colour balanced. |
