English: This is one of the three cabinets at Meng’s Clinic with patient card numbers ranging from to 446 to 4635x (illegible).
Susan remarked that Doreen had a computerised memory – she could remember patient’s card numbers even when they turned up without their cards. The patients’ numbers are not grouped according the addresses or alphabets but in the sequence of when they registered new patients. Despite so, Doreen remembers people from the first few numbers such as Mr and Mrs Soh as she knew their family very well. Aside from the patient cards, there were also six record books categorised by where the patients lived.
