Dansk: Korvetten "Galathea" i en storm i Nordsøen
  • Dansk: Eckersberg oplevede en kraftig storm om bord på korvetten Galathea på Nordsøen den 12. maj 1839 (jf. Villadsen, Eckersbergs dagbøger, bd. 2, p. 825). Da han fuldførte maleriet, kaldte han ved en fejl skibet for en fregat i sin dagbog (ibid., p. 834).
