| Description |
English: CWS Flour Mills, Avonmouth. This gives a closer view of the early 20th century flour mills shown in this image 620311. The state of decrepitude is even more obvious. Notable is the art deco lettering used to identify the structure. Made of concrete, it would probably need to be blown up to get rid of it. Plainly it has been empty for some time and it probably owes its survival to (a) the cost of demolition and (b) there being no immediate need for the land it stands on. The building does not appear to be listed. Close view: 620313 |
