English: Old L station sign at Oak Park on the Green Line. The “AB Station” signage origins from the former skip-stop service that took place on various branches throughout the system until the mid-1990s. Other stations had an “A Station” or “B Station” sign here.
Deutsch: Altes Stationsschild an der Station Oak Park an der Lake Street Line (Green Line). Die Bezeichnung als „AB Station“ rührt vom Skip-Stop-Betrieb her, der bis in die 1980er Jahre auf vielen Strecken der Chicagoer Hochbahn stattfand. Andere Bahnhöfe waren an dieser Stelle dann mit „A Station“ und „B Station“ ausgeschildert.
Español: Antiguo letrero en la estación Oak Park de la línea verde. La señalización «AB Station» tiene origen en el servicio Skip-Stop que se operaba en varias líneas del sistema hasta los mediados de los noventa. Otras estaciones tenían señales de «A Station» o «B Station» aquí. |
