Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Patiriella regularis is a small five armed seastar, introduced to Australia from New Zealand. It can be found in many colours: blue, green, brown, orange or red. There are no recorded impacts of this species in Australian waters, but it is possible that it competes with the native species of Patiriella such as the threatened P. vivipara for food and other resources.
