CONVERSION TO THE ALPINE MOTIF OF THE TWIN TANKS SERVICE STATION AT THE WESTERN EDGE OF THE CITY LIMITS OF HELEN, NEAR ROBERTSTOWN ON GEORGIA HIGHWAY 17/75. IT IS THE FIRST COMMERCIAL BUILDING TOURISTS SEE WHEN ENTERING TOWN. LANIER CHAMBERS, FORMER CHAIRMAN OF THE WHITE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, BOUGHT OUT THE FORMER OWNER WHO REFUSED TO RENOVATE WITH AN ALPINE THEME AS WAS DONE TO THE BUSINESS DISTRICT. THE STATION LIES JUST OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS AND DOES NOT LEGALLY HAVE TO USE THE ALPINE MOTIF (English)
