COMMON WANDERER (Pareronia valeria) This abnormally eclosed butterfly retained the headcapsule of the caterpillar when pupated. the head capsule was very much alive as it responded to the flashguns fired the emergence of the butterfly was not successful as it got struck midway. when helped out,survived for a couple of hours without unfolding the wings hats off to Babu pacholakkal for his great work on butterflies st philominas college in mysore,thanks to his company and hospitality when I was there |
