Nederlands: Negatief. Districtshoofden waren meestal mensen die afkomstig waren uit de groep die we met de adel aanduiden. Veel Dajak groepen kenden een hiërarchische sociale ordening. Dat betekende dat er naast een grote groep 'burgers' ook een aristocratie was. Deze adel onderscheidde zich van het gewone volk vooral door twee dingen. Ze hadden het recht om slaven te bezitten, terwijl er daarnaast diverse goederen waren die alleen een edelman in zijn bezit kon hebben. Hiertoe behoorden de op de foto afgebeelde potten, vermoedelijk van Chinese origine. Aan dit soort potten werden magische vermogens toegeschreven. Het waren erfstukken en ze speelden een rol bij de bruidsprijs. (P. Boomgaard, 2001).
