Nederlands: Repronegatief. Net als Sumatra kent Borneo een traditie van houtsnijwerk. Dat blijkt, zoals op de foto te zien valt, ondermeer bij de traditionele huizen (longhouse). Daar vertonen hardhouten panelen en deuren vaak zeer fraai houtsnijwerk, vooral in de huizen van de adel. Soms zijn de huizen deels beschilderd met gecompliceerde motieven. Overigens hebben ook de verblijven van de doden, de knekelhuizen, vaak sierlijk houtsnijwerk en panelen met geschilderde motieven. Daarnaast sneden de Dajaks talloze beelden en beeldjes, zoals voorouderbeelden (hampatongs) en maskers. (P. Boomgaard, 2001).
