Nederlands: Negatief. Op de meeste sawahs (bewaterbare velden met een dijkje er omheen) stond en staat 'natte' rijst (bij ladangs spreekt men van 'droge' rijst). De rijst is op rijen geplant en heeft eerst in een bibitbed (bibit=jonge plantjes) gestaan voordat het werd overgeplant. Dat werd doorgaans, net als de oogst, door vrouwen gedaan. De rijenteelt is vooral handig als er gewied moet worden, waarvoor zelfs aparte apparaatjes aan een lange stok bestonden.
