Nederlands: Repronegatief. De Dajaks maakten en maken veel voorwerpen die tot de 'kunstnijverheid' gerekend kunnen worden, fraai gevormde gebruiksvoorwerpen als onderdeel van een artistieke traditie. In dat kader moet in de eerste plaats het vlechtwerk genoemd worden, waarvoor rotan, gespleten bamboe en nipah bladeren gebruikt worden. De grote zonnehoed op de foto is daarvan een mooi voorbeeld. De golvende lijnen die zichtbaar zijn, drukken het motief van de naga, de draak of slang uit. De vrouw van goede komaf op de foto heeft uitgerekte oorlellen, waaraan andere producten van kunstnijverheid bevestigd zijn. Rotan werd ook gebruikt voor matten, doosjes en draagtassen.
