Nederlands: Tijdens deze dans gaan de krijgers onderling een wedstrijd aan wie van hen het hoogst kan springen. Zij vormen een cirkel en onder luid gezang springen telkens één of twee krijgers ritmisch op en neer.
De mannen hebben hun haren en bovenlichaam egaal rood gekleurd en hun benen van een patroon voorzien. Hiervoor smeren ze de benen eerst geheel in met een okerlaag en tekenen daarna met hun vingertoppen een patroon door de oker te verwijderen en de donkere huid bloot te leggen. Deze patronen zijn niet gestandaardiseerd en kunnen naar eigen vrijheid en fantasie door de krijger worden uitgewerkt. Op de voorgrond liggen de sisalstengels waarmee de afweeroefening met het schild wordt uitgevoerd, zie inventarisnummer 20014329 en 20038845. |
