Description |
Nederlands: De laatkop wordt gebruikt door de kapper bij het koppenzetten. De kapper scheert eerst het achterhoofd en de zijkanten van de nek van de klant kaal waar de laatkop geplaatst wordt. Hij maakt met een mes enige kleine incisies en drukt er de open kant van het voorwerp tegen aan. Via het leren mondstuk van het buisje zuigt hij met de lippen de lucht uit de kop, totdat een vacuum ontstaat. Nadat de lucht weggezogen is en het buisje dichtgeknepen wordt, blijft de laatkop tegen de nek aan zitten. Hierna wordt het hoofd gemasseerd en gewassen, zodanig dat het bloed circuleert dicht onder de oppervlakte van de huid. Na afloop wordt het voorwerp verwijderd en het gezogen bloed uitgeklopt. De behandeling heeft een gunstig effect op onder andere hoofdpijn. De beoefenaars van deze praktijk waren vroeger vooral op de wekelijkse markten, Souks, te vinden op het platteland, maar ook in de steden. Dit beroep is tegenwoordig bijna uitgestorven. Het komt nog incidenteel voor bij traditionele kappers, in de medina's en op het platteland. |
