English: Baby carrier with aso motives in the beadwork
Nederlands: Draagmand. Kinderdraagmanden werden speciaal gemaakt voor een nieuw kind. De grootmoeder of een ouder vrouwelijk familielid van het kind maakte het kralenwerk. De glaskralen waren in het begin van de negentiende eeuw afkomstig uit Bohemen en speciaal naar Borneo geëxporteerd.
Deze kinderdraagmand is versierd met kralenwerk met Aso motieven. Aso betekent letterlijk hond maar het staat hier voor draak motieven. De draak symboliseert de onderwereld en het vrouwelijke. De kleuren van dit kralenwerk wijken gedeeltelijk af. De gele draak op een zwarte ondergrond is traditioneel; de rode draken op wit zijn dat niet. Deze versiering en de spiegels hebben een beschermende en kwaadafwerende functie. Het kind zat als de ouders naar buiten gingen in de mand en was er zo nauw mee verbonden.
