Nederlands: Tegen de muur staan een aantal kappersborden waarvan de klant het gewenste kapsel kan uitkiezen. Vaak worden deze kappersborden geschilderd door plaatselijke kunstenaars of besteld in één van de grote steden. De opdrachtgever levert meestal het triplex, de schilder zorgt voor de verf.
Dit type reclameborden wordt in de literatuur gerekend tot de 'Popular Arts'. Kunstuitingen die hun ontstaan danken aan de moderne stedelijke milieus, waarin voornamelijk ongeschoolden de schilder- en beeldhouwkunst beoefenen: kunst die voortkomt uit het volk. In het huidige economische systeem is de concurrentie echter groot, als een gevolg daarvan ontstond de behoefte aan aandacht trekkende reclameborden. Met vrolijke kleuren, wervende teksten en heldere plaatjes probeert men de kwaliteit van zijn/haar werk aan te prijzen. Nauwe samenwerking tussen kunstenaar en ondernemer is hiervoor wel vereist. Voor de kapsalon wordt een klinkende naam gekozen en de kunstenaar geeft op het reclamebord duidelijk aan welke exclusieve haarstijlen hier allemaal geknipt en gekapt kunnen worden. |
