Nederlands: Houten slot bestaande uit kast, schoot en sleutel. Het slot wordt aan de binnenkant van de deur met twee metalen spijkers vastgezet en wordt dus ook van binnenuit gesloten en geopend. De sleutel wordt langs een gat, genaamd tunfust of aseksel (Tachilhiyt-berber), in het slot gestopt. Dit gat wordt aan de linkerzijde of rechterzijde van de muur of in de deur zelf gemaakt ter hoogte van het slot. In sommige huizen wordt een aardewerken pot met openingen aan de voor- en achterzijde in het gat aan de muur bevestigd zodat men met de hand door de pot heen bij het slot komt. De sleutel wordt via dit gat in het slot gestoken. De sleutel is voorzien van enkele pinnen 'tikzinin' (tachelhiyt-berber) die in kleine gaatjes in de schoot van de kast komen te zitten, de schoot omhoog schuiven en zo het slot openen. Dit soort sloten wordt zowel voor woonhuizen als voor graanopslagruimtes gebruikt. Ondanks het tegenwoordige gebruik van metalen en ijzeren sloten zijn deze houten sloten nog niet uit het dagelijks gebruik verdwenen (Naji 2003). Ze worden niet meer voor de buitendeur van woonhuizen gebruikt, maar nog wel voor opslagplaatsen. Bij sommige, met name bij massieve en zware deuren, gebruikt men beide typen sloten, dus hout en metaal (Naji 2003). |
