Description
Nederlands: Beeld. Widyadhara, mannelijke compagnon van de widyadhari, hemelnymf. Dit beeld behoort tot een groep van 28 beelden (15-156 t/m 15-182b), gezamenlijk een pantheon van Balinese godheden vormend, dat getoond werd op de Nederlandse koloniale afdeling op de wereldtentoonstelling te Parijs in 1900. Speciaal voor deze tentoonstelling heeft C.M. Pleyte, conservator van 's Rijks Etnografisch Museum in Leiden, deze beelden op Bali laten vervaardigen. Met behulp van enkele priesters selecteerde hij de relevante beelden die vervolgens door Balinese houtsnijders werden nagemaakt.. Houten beeld van een hemelse muzikant
