Description
Bahasa Indonesia: NB: Pada tanggal 10 juli 2023 obyek ini sudah direstitusi pada Republik Indonesia.
English: NB: This object was restituted to the Republic of Indonesia by the Netherlands Secretary of State for Culture and Media on July 10, 2023.
Nederlands: Vat (onderdeel). De priester gebruikt dit wijwatervat tijdens rituelen. Hij raakt in trans en dan neemt de god Shiva bezit van het lichaam van de priester. Hierdoor wordt het water heilig water met een reinigende functie. De priester kan bijvoorbeeld met dit water offers en gelovigen zegenen, door ze te besprenkelen. De wand is voorzien van afbeeldingen van de bewakers van de vier windstreken. De attributen die zij bij zich dragen zijn: knots, slang, werprad of schijf en drietand. . Gedreven zilveren tempelvat met deksel. NB: Op 10 juli 2023 door de Nederlandse Staatssecretaris van Cultuur en Media gerestitueerd aan de Republiek Indonesië.
