Nederlands: Negatief. Veel Dajakgroepen woonden nog niet zo lang geleden in langgerekte huizen op palen, die meestal met de naam 'longhouse' (betang, lamin) worden aangeduid. Het klassieke longhouse op Borneo telde een aantal naast elkaar gelegen appartementen die door een lange gang of galerij verbonden werden. Ieder appartement werd bewoond door een enkel huishouden of gezin. De verschillende huishoudens in een longhouse waren onderling verwant.
