Nederlands: Foto. De meeste Dajaks waren voornamelijk landbouwers en geen voltijds jagers en verzamelaars. Wel gingen ze zo af en toe op jacht of trokken het bos in voor bosproducten. Een belangrijk hulpmiddel bij de jacht was het blaasroer, waarmee - vaak giftige - pijltjes werden weggeschoten (door hard te blazen). Wie niet goed kijkt, zal op foto's blaasroeren in handen van Dajaks soms voor speren houden. De meeste blaasroeren waren namelijk van een speerpunt voorzien, zo ongeveer als een bajonet op een geweer. Naast speren en (kap)messen, die in de hele Archipel voorkwamen, waren de blaasroeren vooral in het westen en het midden van het eilandenrijk te vinden en de pijl en boog in het oosten. (P.
