Title
COIN
Description
English:

A badly worn silver coin, possibly of William III (r. 1694 - 1702).

Obverse: Partial trace of right facing bust. Legend has been lost.

Reverse: The face has been worn smooth, no details remain.

The coin has been worn smooth on both sides and has been bent. Coins modified in this way are believed to be 'love tokens'. Love tokens were a common practice during the reign of William III.

Similar examples have been recorded on the PAS database see; YORYM-C076EE and SWYOR-699886.
