English:

Complete hammered silver penny of Edward I minted in London, cf. North (1991) Class 9b, 1037/1, p. 30 dated to c. 1299-1300/1 that is well worn on the obverse and fairly worn on the reverse. Legends are mostly missing due to clipped/damaged edges. Obverse has bust of Edward I facing forward, drapery of two wedges, trifoliate crown with spears. Obverse legend EDW (R) A(NGL DNS) hYB with initial cross plain and closed E's. Reverse is long cross with three pellets in each section. Reverse legend CIVI/(TAS)/LON/DON with pothook N's. There is a small split in the coin that is located between the 'D' and the 'O' on the reverse legend and starts at the outer edge.
