Title
COIN
Description
English:

Elizabeth 1st sixpence, c.1560-1569, London mint.

A coin bent over 90 degrees across the centre. The obverse face is folded inwards and has some dirt encrusting the centre fold; the centre of the coin has been worn down in antiquity so much that no details of the monarch survive. The surrounding inscription is too worn to be discernable.

The reverse face has a long cross with the shield of England imposed over the top. The surrounding inscription is too worn to be legible. The numbers 156 are just visible at the top of the shield.
