English: Silver coin. Short cross penny of Henry III (1216-1272) (1199-1216); possibly class 7b issue of 1217-1242, Canterbury mint.

Obverse description: facing bust with sceptre left; hair of two neat curls to either side; possibly initial cross pattee.

Obverse inscription: [h]ENRICVS R [---]

Reverse description: voided short cross, quatrefoil in each angle.

Reverse inscription: [--]SO/NCA/NT

Diameter: 18.6mm, Weight: 1.40gms, die axis: probably 6
