Title
COIN: A Medieval silver bent penny of Edward
Description
English: A Medieval silver bent long cross penny of Edward I, dating to the period AD 1280 to 1281. A crescent shape contraction mark suggests it is Class 3, however due to the coins condition this cannot be narrowed down further. Probably London mint, however the reverse appears to be double struck so this is uncertain. Initial mark cross pattee.

Cf. North Vol. II, No. 1016 - 1022, pp. 28-29.
