English: ELIZABETH CITY, NC. (Jan. 26)--An IMAX film crewmember lights the scene over the water near Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C. January 26. The Smithsonian Institution and the National Air and Space Museum teamed up with the Coast Guard to produce the final segment in an upcoming IMAX format film devoted to helicopters and vertical flight. Film was shot at the air station, where they depicted the fictional story of a daring rescue of two sailors who were forced to abandon ship in heavy seas.Once completed, the film will premiere at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., and then be released to IMAX theaters nationwide.
