There are three categories of pepper, the hot peppers, sweet peppers and the bell peppers. The "heat" of chili peppers is measured in Scoville heat units (SHU), A chili pepper measuring over 1,040,000 SHU. from Naga Jolokia in North-Eastern India was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the hottest in the world. One can buy fresh chili, dried or powdered, chili pepper are used to make sauces. |
