Object history Im Jahr 2015 vereinigten sich die drei Gemeinden Bévilard, Malleray und Pontent unter dem neuen Namen Valbirse. Das neue Wappen nimmt Bezug auf den Gemeindenamen und zeigt die Birs, die bereits als Fluss aus einem unterirdischen Flusssystem ans Tageslicht tritt, den Jura durchquert und bei Birsfelden in den Rhein mündet. Der Dreiberg bezieht sich auf den Jura und die drei Sterne stehen für die drei früheren Gemeinden.
