Description
Français : Texte inscrit sur la carte postale : "Contre le pignon de la maison occupée actuellement par les magasin de la Tête-d'or se trouvait autrefois la fameuse grille construite en 1806 et qui fermait toute la rue. En 1862 furent vendus les matériaux provenant de sa démolition".

La grille est visible sur le site : http://www.cndp.fr/crdp-reims/cddp08/artsculture/charleville1900/vue18_2.htm .

La maison de la tête d'Or semble être l'édifice doté d'une lanterne. Les maisons suivantes ont laissé place à la banque du Crédit Lyonnais ( LCL). le Grand Hôtel de Lion d'Argent se situait un peu plus loin. Photo similaire voir le site http://www.christianvancautotems.org/tag/rimbaud/

À noter la présence d'un timbre de 5 centimes sur les deux faces de cette carte ayant voyagée en 1909. (voir "autres versions")
