Description
English: CHARLES QUAY FARMHOUSE IN WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL VILLAGE; THIS OLD FARM HOUSE IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN BUILT IN THE LATE 18TH CENTURY. IT WAS CONSTRUCTED WITH CEDAR CLAPBOARDS AND MUCH OF THE INTERIOR IS IN ITS ORIGINAL STATE. SEVERAL INDIAN SITES HAVE BEEN FOUND ON THE 80-ACRE TRACT. THE FARM'S OWNER, CHARLES QUAY, ESTABLISHED ONE OF THE NATION'S LARGEST PRIVATE COLLECTIONS OF ANTIQUE FARM IMPLEMENTS AND MEMORABILIA.
