English: XUYEN MOC, SOUTH VIETNAM. 1969-07. A GIANT SKYCRANE HELICOPTER HOVERS ABOVE A STEEL GIRDER IT HAS JUST LOWERED INTO POSITION NEAR THE VILLAGE IN EASTERN PHUOC TUY PROVINCE. THE SKYCRANE WAS ASSISTING ENGINEERS OF THE 1ST FIELD SQUADRON, ROYAL AUSTRALIAN ENGINEERS (RAE) FROM THE 1ST AUSTRALIAN TASK FORCE (1ATF) TO BUILD TWO BRIDGES WHICH WILL ENABLE THE ROAD, ROUTE 23, TO BE RE-OPENED. |
