Description
English: A Commonwealth Railways CB class railcar, with a trailer car, at Port Pirie Junction railway station, South Australia. The railcar was built by the Budd Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US; it was a standard Budd Rail Diesel Car model RDC-1, one of three that entered service in March 1951. The trailer car was a second-hand product of the Brill Company purchased from the Reading Railroad at the same time.

This is one of a number of images in the collection of the State Library of South Australia depicting Commonwealth Railways rolling stock said to have been taken about 1951.

This file is in the public domain because the State Library of South Australia website (see "Source"), from which the image was downloaded, states that the image has no known copyright restrictions. Since the photograph was taken before 1 January 1955, the statement is consistent with the Australian Government's reference document on duration of Australian copyright, which specifies that copyright in a photograph made before 1 January 1955 has expired.
