It appears that, perhaps, the Cayuga operation needs more land to dump culm, so there's now a culm bank inside the curve beyond the KV Tower towards Clarks Summit, with mine cars? on top. It wasn't there in the 1914 shots. Penn Pilot photos from 1939 indicate that it got more expansive over the years. It's was all erased in the 50's and 60s by the International Correspondence School building, the Keyser-Oak shopping complex, and the North Scranton Expressway.
