Place of creation London and Glasgow: Gowans & Gray Ltd.; Boston U. S. A.: The Baker international Play Bureau. Glasgow: Printed in Great Britain by Robert MacLehose and Co. Ltd. at the University Press. 29p. With two pages of publisher’s titles bound at the end.
Notes de Beaumont has noted on the half title page verso: ‘ [Book purchased from] Eric Borian 12.78 [50p?]’ Glassine dust jacket over paper wrappers. The lower cover has no printing. The upper cover is printed in black, green and red. It shows Thomas McLean about to enter through the door to the ‘Public Office’ [later to be identified as ‘The District Registrar]’. He is dressed in workman’s clothes and wears a peaked cap. From head to tail, the black lettering is: “/ Repertory Plays No. 105/ Emigration at first sight/ Ian Douglas/ London & Glasgow. Gowans & Gray Ltd./” On the spine, the title is printed along it, in black letters. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark 11778pp1/105
