Notes de Beaumont has noted on the half title page: “[Book purchased from] Grimshaw(?) Books Wallingford 6.83 £1.25’ Glassine dust jacket over paper wrappers. The lower cover is not printed. The upper cover is dyed in black and in blue. Blue rule frame on the borders and on the borders of the illustration. The upper portion of the cover shows a prison cell, with a brick floor, and a small window high up to the right, with a prisoner seated on a wooden bench, illuminated by light from a second window, upper left. Signed: “C M”, bottom right of the cell. Lettered in black along the spine: “/ Repertory Plays No. 120 P rice 1s. Queer Street. John Donald Kelly/” This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark 11778pp1/120; and X26/ 4894
