Notes de Beaumont has noted on the half title page: ‘Grisham Books Wallingford 1.88. 80p.’ Glassine dust jacket over paper/ card wrappers. The lower cover is not printed. The upper cover features the full front profile of the centre-forward, one Roy Gordon, arms folded, wearing a black and white striped football shirt. He has a forelock of hair projecting over his brow. Horizontal red and black stripes are the background. At the head of the upper cover: “Repertory Plays No. 139”. The words: “/ The centre/ forward/ Neil Grant/ are printed underneath Roy Gordon. Signed bottom right: “Alan G Maclauchton(?)” At the tail is the imprint: “/Gowans & Gray Ltd. London & Glasgow./” Along its length, the spine has the words “The centre forward – Neil Grant” printed in black letters. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark 11778pp1/139
