Notes Coloured prints on card. The upper cover has “1863” and the title. There are rustic branches and straps on the borders and corners. The lettering is within pennants and lettering-pieces. Flowers surround all. The lower cover has tree branches, which frame four illustrations: 1. London [façade of] 96 Strand; 2. 24 Cornhill (shop front) London; 3.17 Bvd des Italiens, Paris; 4. Perfume Fountain, Crystal Palace. Many products and benefits of perfumes are listed in tableaux left and right at the base. Pages 2-3, 4-5, 6-7 each features a young lady, with the months detailing significant events/ characteristics. Page seven is signed at the base: “J. Vadot”. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark (1852 and 1853) PP2468na
