Notes Robin de Beaumont has noted on the upper pastedown: “Fine Books at Ilkley 4.91 £36” The upper pastedown and upper endpaper recto have advertisements. The small square bookplate of Robin de Beaumont is on the upper endpaper verso. Grey dyed paper over boards. The lower cover is printed with an advertisement for “Messrs R. & D. Slimon, Leith and Ireland, Leith “. The upper covers features an envelope, with a postage stamp. With two proof of postage stamp, together with the title: “/ From England to Iceland”/. The lower half of the cover has the words: “/ A/ Summer/ Trip/to The Arctic/ Circle/ by Geo. C. Sim./ price on shilling/”. A map of Iceland has the itinerary highlighted in red. To its right is a seated lady. The spine has: “/ England to Iceland (1/-)” along its length. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark 10280aaa23.
