Notes Inscribed by Robin de Beaumont on upper endpaper: ‘King’s Road junk shop … 4.68 .(Fair?) condition. 100 years old’. Pink dyed paper over boards. Publisher’s titles are printed on the lower cover. The upper cover is printed in colours. The illustration shows a beach scene, with white cliffs in the distance. A man (the father?) is walking along the sandy beach, with walking stick in his right hand; there are three children – a girl and two boys. All are wearing hats. The title is at the head. The imprint of Jas. Clarke is at the tail. The spine is not lettered. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probable) of this work is at British Library shelf mark 7290a45.
