Place of creation London: George Routledge and Sons, The Broadway, Ludgate London: F. Bentley and Co., Printers, Shoe Lane. 168p. With two pages of advertisements bound at the end.
Notes Dull yellow paper over boards. The lower cover has two advertisements: 1. “Bryant and May’s Patent Safety Matches” and 2. “Bontor and Collins. Brass and Iron Bedsteads. Bedding.” The endpapers and pastedowns have lists of publisher’s titles. The upper cover shows Mrs. Brown, in a voluminous dress, out in the open, with her umbrella up. In the background, two men are dancing and playing bagpipes. Printed at the head: “/ Mrs. Brown/ in the/ Highlands/.” At the ail, within a cartouched,: “/ By Arthur Sketchley./” The imprint is underneath this. On the spine: “/ Mrs. Brown in the Highlands./” is printed along its length. Anoth copy (probable) at BL shelf mark 12331bb26. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust.
