English: Byway and Leipzig Plantation on Roundway Hill. The byway here has been made up sufficiently to cope with the 4x4 traffic that frequents this area. The variety of tracks cross the nearby downs and include well known routes such as the Ridgeway. Leipzip Plantation, the top of which is shown in this photograph, has also occasionally suffered from the effects of motorized transport - see http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/news/032002/04/four.shtml for more details. |
