| Description |
English: Byerhopemere Head. Not a mountain hut in the strictest sense but, on a fell side above Allenheads, this could be a camping barn. Plaque outside says Bear's Cafe. Although near to the C2C this is more likely to be used by grouse shooters or outdoor activity groups. The name has been gleaned from "Old Maps". An unnamed building is shown on the OL31 North Pennines 1:25000 OS Map. As can be seen from the photo it has been recently renovated. |
